Bug Love
Watching you share your love of nature so passionately
I have learned something about nurture, about caring
Gentle your voice speaks for the Monarchs, for the Dragonfly
for all the voiceless and vulnerable insects
whose purpose we ignore, whose fate we are sealing
who hold up life's base, who quietly do their job of living then dying
Bugs we fear, bugs we hate, bugs we poison, call them a pest
You tell us we cannot keep destroying God's best
You speak from a lonely place, few are the savers of earth's grace
many are the dollars willing to destroy what nature took billions of years to create
Please, all about, let not a dead land be our fate

The little bits of life on the margins are disappearing everyday. We are taking away their habitat. Excessive and unnecessary mowing and insecticides are some of the biggest culprits. As a society of humans we need to work together, starting in our own gardens. Leading by example. We need wild now more than ever. What can you do?
